Highly
Reliable Operation with over Current Protection
and
Soft Turn OFF |
|
Field proven over current protection. The
soft turn off feature
ensures the safe turn off of the device under
fault condition, which
will reduce the voltage spike on the collector
of the IGBT. Without
this the IGBT would have turned off
immediately and generated a
heavy spike on the collector resulting in a
permanent damage to the
device.

Extremely
Short Propagation Delay Time (< 70nsec) |
|
|
Permits use
in high-frequency switch mode power supplies and
high frequency converters. Less propagation
delay time means
better dynamic response. For example the fault
clearing time with
this driver is less then half compared to
conventional drives.
This means improved protection against adverse
conditions
by turning off the device faster and limiting
the fault current level
to a lower value. This will help to protect the
load and
voltage stresses on the semiconductor devices.
